Jingle de apresentação de Clark Mckay na LM Radio (1968) Ver Album sobre a LM Radio

Aqui fica o registo de 12 anos de música da nossa juventude. Aquelas músicas que nos acompanharam naqueles primeiros passos de dança, nas festinhas de garagem, nos bailes e verbenas. Foi, ao som de algumas delas, estou-me a lembrar do " A Whiter Shade of Pale " que arriscámos um namorico. Ao longo destes anos, várias músicas ficaram ligadas a um determinado acontecimento ou a um periodo das nossas vidas. Ainda hoje, quando uma determinada melodia nos envolve , automaticamente nos aviva uma imagem, infelizmente nem sempre boa, do nosso passado. Quem nos facultou o consumo destas músicas, sempre coma os mais recentes hits da europa foi sem dúvida o LM Radio, onde pontificam entre outros, Evelyn Martin, David Davies, Clark Mckay e Peter de Nobriga. Este pequeno apontamento refere-se aos hits oficiais do Reino Unido, registando apenas a primeira vez que um detreminado artista acedeu ao nº1 da tabela semanal de hits pois, como é sabido inúmeros artistas o conseguiram por várias vezes ao longo dos anos. Mas, "hits" são "hits", conseguiram-no porque numa determinada semana obtiveram um nível de vendas extraordinário, podendo depois não venderem nem um mais disco. De qualquer forma a maioria deles foram sucessos. Assim sendo, permitam-me juntar a minha lista pessoal que contempla algumas das bandas de que fui " companheiro " e com quem ainda privo assiduamente e espero que a maioria de vocês também. A generalidade deles nunca teve uma música na tabela dos "hits", mas a sua qualidade, a carreira de todas elas, os músicos e toda a envolvência do espectáculo, douraram aquelas décadas de 60 e 70.
